The Issue

As a dedicated and diligent student of environmental science, it becomes increasingly hard to learn and retain critical information when our lectures deviate from the course content. Our current lecturer, fails to focus on the assigned course textbook and neglects the core subject matter, which hampers our academic progress and understanding of environmental science.

The core issue is not only the deviation from the intended syllabus but also the lack of responsiveness from the lecturer. It is frustrating when numerous attempts to seek clarification are met with silence. Our emails seeking guidance remain unanswered, leaving us without the support we need to succeed in our studies.

Conversations with upperclassmen and alumni reveal that this has been an ongoing problem for years, affecting multiple cohorts. We believe this issue demands immediate attention and resolution for the betterment of the department and its students.

Environmental science is a critical field, pivotal for our future, and deserves the utmost dedication to academic integrity and effectiveness. We, as students, deserve an education that reflects the depth and importance of this discipline.

We desire a change to better this course and its impact on future students. Please support us in our quest for improved education by signing this petition to bring about necessary educational reform.
