Improve Moreno Valley’s Infrastructure

The Issue

I'm a resident of Moreno Valley, a vibrant city with a population of about 210,000 people, yet the opportunities for affordable housing, diverse retail outlets, access to quality healthcare, and modern public transit systems are not sufficient. Our community demands the development of new apartments and affordable housing to cater for the growing population, which has surged by approximately 4.1% in the last decade (US Census Bureau).

We also request a new outlet comprising diverse restaurants and stores that can cater to the needs of residents of all ages, preferences, and budgets, boosting local business and job opportunities in the process.

In terms of healthcare, Moreno Valley is in critical need of a new medical center, which is equipped to provide Emergency Room services, Urgent Care, and mental health services. The latter is particularly pertinent, given that mental health issues have been on the rise, with around 1 in 5 adults in California reporting needing help for emotional, mental health, or alcohol/drug issues (California Health Care Almanac) and this hospital will be a HMO (Health Maintenance Organization)

Where this all can fit in Moreno Valley

Lastly, to provide a sustainable solution for the city’s growth and the commutes of our residents, we are urging for the creation of new underground train stations. This would not only decongest the city but also contribute positively to the environment and the quality of life for the residents.

We believe that these demands, when fulfilled, will significantly elevate the living standard in Moreno Valley and result in far-reaching benefits for our residents. Therefore, we urge our city's decision-makers to take these matters into serious consideration. Kindly sign this petition to support our mission for a better Moreno Valley.
