Improve Meadows Parks and Consider a Rope Tow
The Issue
As a freestyle skier and regular visitor of Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort, I as well as the community have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the freestyle parks at the resort. The jumps and features are small and lack creativity, which makes it challenging for skiers to hone their skills and enjoy their time on the mountain.
Despite the negative feedback from visitors, Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort has continued to ignore the issue, and the parks have remained in poor condition. Moreover, to access the parks, visitors need to take several lifts, including the easy rider, daisy, cascade, or vista lifts, some of which barely run. This results in long queues and significant crowding, which makes it difficult to enjoy skiing in the park.
Therefore, I am calling on Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort to take immediate action and build better freestyle parks that meet the needs and expectations of visitors. The resort should consider crowd-sourcing or asking for donations from the community, as I am confident that many skiers and snowboarders would be willing to contribute to the development of high-quality parks.
I also suggest that the resort seek feedback from the community and solicit ideas for new features that would enhance the experience of visitors. There are many talented welders and builders within the community who would be happy to lend their expertise to the creation of innovative and exciting features for the parks.
By improving the ski freestyle parks at Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort, the resort can attract more visitors, provide a better experience for skiers and snowboarders, and support the growth of the skiing and snowboarding community in the area. I urge Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort to take immediate action to address this issue and create better ski freestyle parks that meet the needs of the community.
