As a student deeply moved by the plight of our fellow human beings living in reservations, I am compelled to initiate this petition. In my literature class, I learned about the harsh realities faced by people living on reservations across our nation and around the globe. The conditions are appalling and it is an injustice that our government allows this to persist day after day.

The United Nations has highlighted that Indigenous peoples continue to face widespread systemic discrimination, poor health outcomes, and inadequate housing (UN Report on Indigenous Peoples' Rights, 2020). It's time we demand better for these communities.

We must urge governments worldwide to improve the living standards on reservations. This includes ensuring access to clean water, quality education, healthcare services and sustainable employment opportunities. We need policies that respect their rights as human beings and promote social justice.

I am outraged at this injustice and believe we can make a difference in society if we act now.
