For 55 years, the Chargers football organization has been a cornerstone of our Pasadena community. It has served as a positive outlet for our youth, providing exercise, constructive use of time and most importantly, an alternative path for less fortunate kids that need an adequate outlet. All of our Pasadena children deserve the same opportunities to thrive for excellence. 

Yet there is one significant obstacle standing in their way - inadequate lighting. The lack of proper lighting not only hinders their ability to play but also poses safety risks. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), poor lighting increases the chances of accidents and injuries by up to 60%. This is unacceptable.

Our children's safety should be paramount. We cannot allow them to play under conditions that put them at risk or limit their potential growth as athletes and individuals.

Therefore, we call on local authorities in Pasadena, MD to provide adequate lighting for our Chargers football organization. By doing so, they will be ensuring that every child who steps onto that field can do so safely and confidently.
