Improve Infrastructure and Public Services in Kuala Lumpur

Improve Infrastructure and Public Services in Kuala Lumpur
The Issue
My name is Melaka Maju Jaya, a proud resident of Kuala Lumpur. I am starting this petition out of personal concern for the state of our city's infrastructure and public services. Our beloved city, despite being the heart of Malaysia, has been facing numerous challenges that have been overlooked for years.
From congested roads to inadequate public transportation systems, from lackluster waste management to insufficient green spaces - these issues have significantly affected our quality of life. According to a study by the World Bank Group (2015), urban areas like Kuala Lumpur are struggling with traffic congestion which costs approximately 1.1% - 2.2% of Gross National Income annually.
Furthermore, according to data from the Department Of Statistics Malaysia (2020), nearly 30% of households in Kuala Lumpur do not have access to proper waste disposal facilities leading to environmental and health hazards.
We need immediate attention and action from our local government officials towards these pressing matters. It is time we raise our voices for better infrastructure and improved public services in Kuala Lumpur.
Please sign this petition if you believe in creating a better living environment for all residents in Kuala Lumpur.
