For all those like me who regularly commute using the Bramalea Go Station or any station infact, suffering in the cold while waiting in the station’s chilly waiting areas, is an expected experience. Why should anyone suffer this harsh waiting condition?

The heating facilities provided in the waiting areas are not adequate, and they certainly fail to provide the comfort that commuters need during cold Canadian winter months when temperature can easily drop to -10°C or lower. Why do they only heat upto 8°? With how small the waiting rooms are on the platform they can easily make them support higher temperatures. Many cities worldwide have successfully implemented efficient heating systems in their public transport waiting areas, there's no reason Bramalea Go Station can't do the same.

We request Metrolinx and the local government to provide efficient, reliable and improved heaters in the waiting areas of the Bramalea Go Station train platforms. The overall comfort and safety of thousands of daily commuters depend on such essential amenities. Let's make their commuting experience better - let us not let them suffer in the cold anymore, sign this petition and push for the important change that is needed.
