I grew up in a place where animals were loved and cared for. It breaks my heart to witness the plight of abandoned animals in our area, Cabuyao, Laguna. These helpless creatures are being neglected and their health conditions are deteriorating with each passing day.

According to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), thousands of stray animals suffer from malnutrition and disease across the country every year. In our city alone, hundreds of these abandoned animals roam the streets without proper care or medical attention.

We cannot stand by while these innocent lives suffer. We must urge our local government to take immediate action – establish animal shelters, provide veterinary care for strays, and implement effective animal welfare policies.
