I'm someone who is trying to recover a YouTube account I created 8 years ago, and I’ve found the process to be extremely frustrating and disheartening. When reaching out to YouTube support, the only responses I receive are automated, bot-like replies that rarely address the actual issue. It often takes hours—sometimes days—just to get a semi-relevant response, and even then, it's usually not helpful, to keep in mind as of 2025 its deleted due to the inactive policy and google and youtube haven't been much help.

This petition is not meant to criticize YouTube or Google as platforms—they’ve built incredible services that have changed millions of lives, including mine. However, their customer support systems are severely lacking, especially when it comes to account recovery and handling user issues. Many long-time users, creators, and fans have lost access to years of content and memories, with little to no human support to turn to.

The goal of this petition is simple: we want YouTube and Google to improve their customer support systems and make it easier for real users to get real help from real people. Whether it's through live chat, more responsive email support, or better account recovery tools, users deserve to be heard and helped.
