For several months, I have faced numerous challenges involving Child Protection Services (CPS) and the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) here in Louisville, KY. To address these issues, I propose that CPS and DCBS implement a more specific and structured communication system. Social workers should provide clear guidelines to parents involved in custody or related cases. Additionally, it is crucial for caseworkers to undergo comprehensive training and have firsthand experience in child care before taking on cases. This ensures that they can effectively manage and support families in need.
