Two weeks ago, my elderly grandma was almost struck head-on by a distracted driver on Northeast Wyatt Road. This road, directly south of Saint Charles Medical Center, has become a dangerous hotspot due to the congestion caused by long-term campers. The narrowness of the road cannot support this type of traffic safely. Campers often ignore citations and move only a few yards when they do relocate.

This situation poses an extreme risk to pedestrians, bicyclists, and other vehicles. There are two assisted living facilities and multiple apartment complexes along this stretch of road. It is only a matter of time until someone is seriously injured or killed.
