As a passionate animal lover and a concerned resident of Anderson County, it is with urgency that I draw attention to the pressing issues relating to our local animal control management. I strongly believe in the ethical treatment of creatures who cannot speak for themselves and that governmental transparency helps ensure appropriate use of our tax dollars.

Our county is currently grappling with challenges in our animal management system, including poor shelter space and questionable operational oversight.
