About 63% of our electricity comes from burning fossil fuels, mostly coal and natural gas.

Investing in renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, could dramatically reduce our carbon emissions. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) reported in 2020 that scaling up renewable energy could meet 90% of our global climate goals by 2050. Yet, there is not nearly enough action or investment in these areas.
