The current rail services between Spokane, Washington and Seattle are not meeting the needs of its users. The long travel times and inconvenient departure/arrival hours discourage many potential passengers from choosing this environmentally friendly mode of transportation. By improving these services, we can promote train usage over car transportation, reducing the number of vehicles on our roads and subsequently decreasing carbon emissions.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, trains are one of the most energy-efficient modes of transport for freight and passengers - they're 40% more fuel efficient than cars (source: U.S. Department of Transportation). By enhancing rail services in Washington State, we could significantly reduce our environmental impact.

We urge Amtrak to review their service schedules between Spokane and Seattle with a view to making them more user-friendly. This will not only benefit current users but also attract new ones who may currently be using less sustainable forms of transport.
