Imagine living without basic necessities such as heat and hot water - essentials which many of us take for granted. This is a grim reality for many residents of Linden Houses, including the elderly, the sick, and small babies who have been forced to cope without these basics since November 2024. Increased cold temperatures only exacerbate the issue, and with management providing no solution timeline, the situation is dire. Desperate residents are resorting to dangerous alternatives such as stoves, ovens, and space heaters as warmth sources. These makeshift solutions pose significant safety risks. According to the National Fire Protection Association, space heaters account for 43% of home heating fires in the US, demonstrating the potential danger in these desperate measures. 

This is a breach of basic human rights to safe and secure housing. We're calling on the administration and relevant authorities to step in promptly. It is imperative for all the buildings/apartments within the Linden Houses development to be adequately equipped with heat and hot water for the civic welfare and human dignity of its residents. We are their voice, seeking justice. Encourage others to sign this petition and compel the local city authorities to implement immediate change.
