Petition updateImported Honey to be banned ...Cheap oxalic could save Australia’s bees.

Varroa mite is ripping through beekeepers from South Australia to Queensland. The problem is exploding. Ninety percent of the wild honeybee colonies on the east coast will be dead within three years — and those bees were doing eighty percent of the country’s pollination. Your fruit, your vegetables, your almonds — everything’s about to get hammered.
There’s a fix. A cheap, simple cure: oxalic acid. It’s already used in the building industry, it costs next to nothing, and no Varroa mite has ever developed resistance to it. But the government won’t give it to beekeepers for free. Instead, they force ninety percent of commercial beekeepers to break the law just to keep their hives alive.
Sound familiar? Remember how they banned ivermectin in Australia — cheap, safe, effective — while pushing expensive alternatives? Same game here.
They have a working cure. They’re blocking it anyway. This isn’t incompetence. This is by design.
