At the moment, the east coast of Australia is seeing bee populations absolutely collapsing.
Tasmania and Western Australia are the last two major places left in the world that are still Varroa-free.
Varroa mites can survive on cut flowers for up to 6 days and jump onto bees in as little as 2 seconds.
A quick wash in soapy water can help remove them.
