Climate change is having a catastrophic effect on every ecosystem and country, and will continue to have such effects for decades to come. The impacts range from wildfires and floods, to increased tropical storms and hurricanes, to acid rain and the destruction of the ozone layer.

One solution to the problem is carbon taxes, which has already been tried and tested before. It consists of placing an artificial price on polluting, which creates an incentive to reduce emissions. By useing this petition and sending it to the connecticut government, I hope to implement these, and to set an example for other state and ultimately the entire country.
