Dear [Community Members],
Recently, there has been significant concern surrounding a private meeting in Selma, NC, where discussions about trapping and killing cats have taken place. As many of you are aware, our primary mission at Bailey’s Human Rescue is Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and we are deeply rooted in Selma.

We share in the collective dismay and heartbreak upon learning this disheartening news. However, it is crucial for us to approach this situation with strategic and constructive actions to ensure the well-being of the feline community we are dedicated to serving.

At Bailey's Human Rescue, we have taken proactive steps to engage in productive conversations with the town, advocating for TNR in a manner that fosters receptivity and cooperation. It is important to note that expressing anger or frustration by calling the mayor or the town may hinder our efforts rather than help.

Currently, we are collaborating with a national organization specializing in communicating with municipalities and counties. This partnership is aimed at presenting our case in a compelling and persuasive way, emphasizing the benefits of TNR over trap-and-kill methods.

To effect positive change and protect our feline friends, we invite you to support our cause by signing our petition. This petition serves as a powerful tool to demonstrate widespread community support for TNR, sending a clear message to the town that a compassionate and humane approach is favored by the majority.

Let's channel our collective energy into constructive and helpful conversations. By uniting in support of TNR, we can make a significant impact and ensure the safety and well-being of the cats in Selma.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment to making a positive difference.
