The Issue

The intersection of Bethel Rd and Tanner Rd within our beloved Trentwood Community in Simpsonville, SC has become a safety hazard. Since the construction of the Trentwood Condos in the '70s, traffic has become progressively heavier and more dangerous. Our community members, often find it impossible to leave their homes during peak hours due to the untenable traffic situation. This dangerous bottleneck situation, accentuated by the convex curve that hinders visibility in both directions, has unfortunately led to an increase in vehicular accidents at this intersection.

The lack of safety measures in such a high-traffic area impedes our basic right to safe and secure living conditions. Therefore, we request the local authorities to either install a traffic light or consider building a roundabout at this stressful intersection. These safety measures would not only regulate traffic flow but would also significantly reduce the risk of accidents.

It's more than just an inconvenience - it's about the safety of our beloved community members. Act now. Let's make the intersection of Bethel Rd and Tanner Rd a safer place for everyone. Please sign this petition and let our voices be heard.
