As a resident living next to the intersection of 25th and Gaffey streets in San Pedro, Los Angeles, I have witnessed an alarming number of car accidents. In just the past two years alone, I have seen at least six serious incidents. My neighbors have had cars crash into their homes and yards multiple times. It's reached a point where we can't even park our vehicles outside for fear they will be destroyed.

This is not just about property damage; it's about safety. The lack of traffic control measures has led to numerous accidents that could easily result in severe injuries or even fatalities. In just the last month, two serious car accidents occurred here - cars literally flying into houses due to high speeds.

Despite these dangerous conditions, there are no signs instructing drivers to slow down or cautioning them about this hazardous intersection. The city has yet to take any action to address this issue that affects not only residents but also anyone passing through this area.

We urge the city authorities to prioritize our safety by implementing necessary traffic control measures such as stop signs or speed bumps at this intersection immediately. This is not simply a request; it is an urgent plea for action before more lives are put at risk.
