Church Road provides access to schools, homes and the local park. However, its narrow width and lack of traffic calming measures have made it a hotspot for speeding and dangerous driving. The well-being of our community is put at risk due to the increase in dangerous drivers, with quite a few accidents occurring in the last few years. 

Also the noise pollution from large trucks speeding down the road late at night is something we are having to deal with more and more frequently.

This petition stems from a personal experience as well as that of neighbours.  A few days ago, we had an incident involving a speeding vehicle hitting 3 people’s cars and causing numerous damages. We believe it is only a matter of time before a fatal accident may occur.

Statistics show that traffic calming measures can significantly reduce the risk of accidents.
