As someone who has personally witnessed animals severely affected by loud fireworks, I am calling for a change. The five nights of Diwali, a time of celebration and joy for many in the UK, can turn into a nightmare for our pets and wildlife. The loud bangs and flashes created by fireworks can be very frightening for animals, causing them to become stressed and unpredictable. Some may even run away out of fear, ending up lost or injured.

A survey conducted by Blue Cross found that 69% of horse owners are concerned about their horses' welfare due to fireworks. Horses are flight animals; when startled by sudden noise and lights from fireworks they may panic, run blindly, injure themselves - sometimes fatally.

Moreover, many pet owners find themselves having to stock up on calming medication during this period - an additional stressor both financially and emotionally.

Silent fireworks offer an effective solution. Designed to operate at noise levels of approximately 70dB (comparable to normal conversation), these low-noise alternatives help prevent any stress to animals while still allowing people to enjoy the festivities.
