I am an airline employee living in Hungary, far from my homeland, Tunisia. The distance is not just geographical but also emotional due to the lack of direct flight connections between these two countries. This situation is not only personal but affects many others who are bound to Tunisia and face similar difficulties.

The Open Skies Agreement was designed to eliminate government interference in commercial decisions about routes, capacity, and pricing for airlines. It aims at fostering competition and making flying more affordable and accessible for everyone. However, despite this agreement being in place, its implementation concerning flights to Tunisia has been lacking.

It's time that we call upon relevant authorities to uphold the principles of this agreement fully. By doing so, we can ensure that all those bound for Tunisia - be it Tunisians living abroad like me or tourists wishing to explore our beautiful country - have more options and easier access.
