The Issue

Like every promise, the one given to local West Virginian residents, like myself, over 25 years ago has its own value and significance. We have been waiting with bated breath for the creation of a corridor between I-79 and Route 19 in Rivesville. Sadly, however, our hopes have been met with empty promises and stilted progress. It's high time we make our voices heard.

The lack of this much-needed corridor doesn't just inconvenience those living in Rivesville, it also impedes our town's growth. The corridor is essential for residents to have direct access to the interstate and likewise, is a gateway for outsiders to experience the charm of our small town.

As per the West Virginia Department of Transportation, such a corridor has considerable potential for productive transformation. Direct connection to major highways can stimulate economic growth by drawing tourists, facilitating local business operations, and improving the overall quality of life within the town.

For the good of Rivesville, West Virginia, we need to make the government hear our plea and act upon their word. Join us in urging the government to finally fulfill its promise, and bring to fruition the corridor between I-79 and Route 19. It's time they invest in us and in the future of our town. Please sign this petition and help Rivesville turn the page to a new chapter.
