The Dublin Road in Drogheda suffers from severe traffic congestion - this is adversely affecting the residents of the town and makes cycling, walking and other forms of active travel more difficult. 

Drogheda is set for another housing boom as Ireland's population continues to grow - without efforts to reduce traffic the town will soon become completely gridlocked and it will be so much harder to work or shop in our town.

The Irish Government has made promoting active travel a priority and funding is available for it - now is the time for Louth County Council to act and take advantage of the funding available. Make Drogheda an example to the rest of Ireland.
