As a concerned citizen, I have observed the longevity of some individuals in Congress and the potential for misuse of their positions. It is disheartening to see how some members have been able to accumulate wealth through legislation that benefits them personally. This situation undermines the democratic principles upon which our nation was founded.

Term limits would ensure a regular infusion of new ideas and perspectives into our legislative process, reducing the risk of stagnation and corruption. According to a 2018 poll by McLaughlin & Associates, 82% of Americans support term limits for Congress (source: U.S Term Limits). Despite this overwhelming public support, no significant action has been taken on this issue due to resistance from those who benefit from the status quo.
