I grew up in a time when the cost of living was manageable. Gas was affordable, a decent house within budget, and dining out didn't break the bank. Today, we struggle with skyrocketing fuel prices, exorbitant housing costs, and grocery bills that run into hundreds of dollars each month. The burden of taxes is becoming unbearable for many Americans like me.

Our government officials need to be held accountable. We propose term limits on all government positions to prevent stagnation and encourage fresh perspectives. A union-like head over Congress could provide necessary oversight to stop self-governing practices such as unauthorized salary increases.

We also suggest setting a retirement age of 70 for Supreme Court justices and introducing term limits for them too - an idea supported by 77% of Americans according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll (2019). This would ensure regular infusion of new legal minds into our highest court.

Furthermore, we believe it's time to lower the minimum age requirement for presidential candidates from 35 to 30 while setting an upper limit at 65 years old - this would bring more youthful energy into our leadership without compromising experience or wisdom.

Lastly, cutting salaries of government officials could help reduce unnecessary expenditure and contribute towards lowering taxes - making life more affordable again for everyday citizens like us.
