Implement Stronger Measures to Prevent Bullying and Abuse in Schools and Education Setting

Implement Stronger Measures to Prevent Bullying and Abuse in Schools and Education Setting
The Issue
Our children have been the victims of relentless bullying and abuse at school for the past two years, leading to devastating impacts on both their mental and physical wellbeing. They have been grappling with severe anxiety and depression triggered by such torment. Consequently, their ability to learn and socialize have been drastically compromised. The lack of resolute action of the school in ensuring the safety of our children in their educational setting is disheartening and unacceptable.
At a national scale, the impact of bullying in schools is equally alarming. The National Center for Educational Statistics, in their 2019 report, revealed that one out of every five students reports being bullied. Bullying can lead to detrimental effects on students' mental health and academic progress. It is time for this cycle of suffering to stop.
We urge the local education boards, national bodies and everyone responsible for ensuring safe, healthy learning environments to take immediate action. The enforcement of stronger, more effective anti-bullying policies is paramount. Schools must be held accountable for failing to tackle bullying and abuse effectively. We must ensure our children grow in an environment that encourages their growth, not hinders it. Where our children can feel safe and thrive.
Parents need to be able to address there concerns to the appropriate people within the educational institutions without feeling there will be consequences for there actions when dealing with bullying and abuse within their children's educational setting.
We beseech you to sign this petition, to demand safer educational spaces for our children, and for every child at risk today. Our collective voices can turn the tide, ensuring that not another child has to suffer. Sign now. Protect our children. Stop school bullying.
