As an individual who has witnessed the heartbreaking abuse, abandonment, and disregard for bully breed dogs first-hand following the ban announcement in the UK, I have come to realise how inadequate our animal rights laws are. Our enforcement charities like RSPCA lack power and capacity to save animals in need. There were numerous occasions when I personally reached out to them for help, only to be told they couldn't assist.

Our current laws aren’t enforced adequately, and convictions are rarely given. Dogs don’t have a voice; we need to stand up and use ours on their behalf. It is time we protect 'man’s best friend' from neglect, abandonment, abuse or murder by implementing stricter animal rights laws across the UK.

We propose prison sentences or large fines as penalties for anyone found guilty of these heinous acts against dogs. This will not only serve justice but also act as a deterrent against potential offenders.

The situation is dire; it's time we took action. We urge lawmakers to review our existing animal rights legislation with urgency and compassion. Let us give our voiceless friends a fighting chance at life they deserve.
