I have had a traumatic experience over the past few months, having witnessed countless defenseless street animals fatally wounded by overspeeding vehicles on our local roads. As a resident and an animal lover, I am compelled to shine a light on this overlooked cause of animal death and suffering.

Countries worldwide report that millions of animals are killed on roads each year. In the USA alone, it is estimated that a staggering one million animals are killed each day on the road (Humane Society, USA). Unfortunately, my community is not an exception to this heartbreaking statistic.
