I am pleading for the implementation of strict penalties for deliberate cat hit-and-run incidents, to deter potential offenders and protect our beloved companions from unnecessary harm. These penalties should be on par with the penalties for hitting a pedestrian. Seventy-five percent of the world's countries have stringent animal cruelty laws, as per the World Animal Protection's findings, and it is only fair we join them. Remember, this is not about punishing accidents, but about holding accountable those who knowingly leave animals to suffer.
