Implement Strict No-Electric-Bicycles Policy in the Dog-Walking Park

Implement Strict No-Electric-Bicycles Policy in the Dog-Walking Park
The Issue
Miki was and will remain the best dog, God could ever give me. She was such a loveable dog. Everyone who seen her, made only the remarks "she is so beatiful". Sadly, my dog was killed on 31st fo August 2024 by a reckless bicyclist in the park where I used to take my dog for her cheerful walks. This loss is not only personal to me but highlights the greater issue of safety in our community parks, specifically for dog walkers.
Bicycle incidents within parks have been increasing at an alarming rate. According to the National Safety Council, bicyclist injuries and fatalities have surged by 30% over the last decade (National Safety Council, 2022). This grave statistic serves as a harsh reminder of the escalating danger that our community faces on a daily basis.
Our parks should be a safe place for us and our precious pets, not a dangerous ground. The implementation of a strict no-bicycles policy in our dog-walking park is not just desirable, but necessary. Such a measure will prevent accidents like mine from happening in the future, and help preserve the safety and tranquility that our communal spaces require.
Let us join forces to advocate for a safer park environment for our dogs and ourselves. Please, sign this petition to implement a strict no-bicycles policy in the dog-walking park. Together, we can prevent further heartbreak and ensure safety for all park users.
