The Issue

As an advocate for animal welfare, I am deeply troubled by the ongoing exploitation of innocent creatures. It is both heartbreaking and horrifying that some individuals subject animals to unspeakable abuse for their own perverse desires. We urgently need a nationwide ban on bestiality, with severe penalties, including imprisonment and mandatory registration as sex offenders for those who commit such acts.

Shockingly, the legal landscape in the U.S. is inconsistent, leaving dangerous loopholes.

According to the Legal Information Institute, only 46 states have laws that specifically prohibit sexual abuse of animals. This means there are still four states where offenders can act without fear of legal repercussions.

In addition to stricter laws, we must also ensure that convicted offenders are permanently barred from accessing animal shelters or adoption centers, preventing further harm to vulnerable animals.

We cannot allow these atrocities to continue.

Join us in demanding that all states enact and enforce strict anti-bestiality laws to protect our animal companions and create a safer, more compassionate society.

Having personal experience I can say that one of the most alarming aspects of this issue is the existence of a community that identifies as "zoophiles." These individuals claim that animals can consent to sexual acts, a belief that is not only delusional but also extremely dangerous. Animals, by their very nature, cannot consent to human activities in the way that humans do. The notion that they can is a clear distortion of reality, used to justify abusive behavior.

Zoophiles often argue that their relationships with animals are based on mutual affection, but this ignores the fundamental power imbalance between humans and animals. Animals are inherently vulnerable and rely on humans for their care and protection, not exploitation. The belief that animals can consent to sexual activities is not only scientifically unfounded but also reflects a profound misunderstanding of animal welfare and ethics.

While some individuals within this community may be deeply misguided or misinformed, the impact of their actions is undeniably harmful. These acts contribute to the suffering of animals, perpetuate cycles of abuse, and endanger the animals' physical and psychological wellbeing.
