I worry about my children even going out to check the mail on their own due to driving negligence. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speed bumps reduced total child pedestrian injuries and deaths by 60% in residential areas (NHTSA). Consequently, I urge our local authorities to recognize this issue and its potential harm. By installing speed humps, we can effectively slow down aggressive drivers, reduce the possibility of accidents, and, most importantly, safeguard our children.
