We, the citizens residing in Melissa's family-friendly community of Liberty, have seen our neighborhood streets become unsafe due to speeding cars and reckless drivers. As our city has grown and expanded, our neighborhood is transforming into a very busy through way. Even our students are not spared, and have endured accidents while simply trying to cross streets to reach school. 

The junction off Pennsylvania Avenue and Highway 5 is particularly dangerous due to low visibility for those dwelling in the area. Furthermore, our neighborhood is a pathway to newly founded commercial properties, making our residential area a thoroughfare for high-speed traffic.

Proposing a practical solution, we seek to implement speed cushions on Pennsylvania Avenue extending from Highway 5 to Liberty Way. Additionally, we propose continuation of these speed cushions on Liberty Way from the entrance on 121, passing Harry McKillop Elementary, and reaching up to Throckmorton Rd.

This proposal not only seeks to limit reckless driving but aims to ensure safe travel for our 1000 elementary students who tread these paths daily. Protecting the lives of our community members and children is paramount, and we humbly request your support in making this change to ensure safety in our neighborhood.
