The Issue

Florida Nurses need safe patient staffing ratios. This has been successful in California for Nurses and patient safety.  We also need floating Nurses to allow us to take our full breaks and have a Nurse that doesn’t have other patients cover our patients. 15 mins after 4 hours, 30 minutes for lunch and a 15 mins before the end our our shift.
Also pay increases of 50% to match the inflation cost of living.

The final ratios are listed below in Table 1.

FL RN to Patient Staffing Ratios and increase pay for inflation cost of living as well as having float nurses to ensure we all get our breaks and our patients have continuity of safe care.
