As residents of Dallas County, we experience unbearable noise every single Sunday evening disrupting our peace and quiet. Imagine having to soothe children who cannot sleep due to blaring music playing on loop, or trying to fall asleep because you have to be up at 3 AM for work on Monday.  This situation is not a rare event, but a prolonged intrusion that has been a part of our lives every week for over a year now.

The source of the noise is a local business operating in the unincorporated area of Dallas County which permits loud amplified music to be played from their property. It begins around 8:30 PM on Sunday evening and goes on till 1:30 AM Monday, clearly disturbing the peace and harmony of our neighborhood. One can imagine how disturbing it is when the sound is loud enough to be heard within a three-mile radius, even overriding our own TVs with the windows shut. 

We urge Dallas County officials to take this matter seriously and establish a noise ordinance that can ensure business operations in unincorporated areas are held to standards comparable to neighboring communities like Grand Prairie and Irving.
