Implement Medical Detectors in Public Schools

The Issue

Our precious children are left exposed to unthinkable dangers in schools, the place where they should feel safe. Like many others, I am deeply moved by the frequency of school shootings happening across the United States every year. Did you know that in 2019 alone, the U.S experienced 45 school shootings with casualties? (source: Center For Homeland Defense & Security). It’s absolutely appalling and terrifying that our children live under such threats.

Outrageously, our governor offices and numerous state buildings are fortified and equipped with medical detectors yet our schools, where our future generations are nurtured, are left vulnerable. It is time we take action. Medical detectors are a vital safety measure that could offer us some semblance of control in these uncertain times.

By implementing medical detectors in public schools, we stand a chance to deter potential offenders, catch them before the unthinkable happens, and ultimately provide a safer and more secure environment for our children. We urge the appropriate authorities to prioritize the safety of our children and make this change not tomorrow but today. Please join my plea, sign this petition, and stand with us to protect our children.
