We are part of a passionate group of students supporting Meros World Foundation, a charity dedicated to knife crime education and prevention. In line with the charity's mission and our personal commitment to safety in our communities, we raise this urgent petition. We believe that empowerment through education can be a valuable tool in saving lives, making a critical difference in emergencies. It's time to put this belief into action.

We advocate for the mandatory incorporation of bleeding control training in the curriculum of all schools across Greater Manchester. 

Studies have proven that bystander intervention prior to the arrival of first responders can notably increase survival rates in cases of severe bleeding. Learning how to appropriately stem a bleed can curtail the damage done in the critical initial moments post-injury. We urge the implementation of mandatory bleeding control education in our schools to foster a generation of responsible civilians, equipped to respond to emergencies effectively.
