Residing in the rural expanses of Anglesey, we find ourselves in a unique bond with our pets . Our shared lives resonate with the joy these animals bring and the subsequent responsibilities they entail. Ensuring their wellness and safety particularly in emergency situations is a commitment that is not confined to business hours. However, the lack of after-hours emergency vet care in Anglesey poses a significant challenge to our dedication to our household pets 

 In fact, recent data from the Companion Animal Veterinary Association suggests that one in three pet owners may face a pet emergency requiring immediate veterinarian help outside regular working hours. Unfortunately, in Anglesey, these calls for help often go unanswered.

Twilight hours should not determine the fate of our beloved animals. Veterinary services, being essential services, ought to be easily accessible and available round the clock. As members of the Anglesey community, we urge local authorities to mandate and ensure the provision of after-hours emergency veterinary care.
