The situation in Lebanon strikes close to my heart, as I have personally witnessed the devastating loss of many people due to conflict. The growing death toll from strikes continues to rob us of our loved ones, and I believe it is time for the global community to step in with protective measures.

According to the International Crisis Group. Since the conflict began in October 2023, there has been a drastic rise in civilian deaths and injuries. This is not only a violation of the Geneva Conventions, which protect noncombatants in times of war, but also a breach of basic human rights.

My plea is simple: Stop the war in Lebanon and establish immediate international protection for the Lebanese people. We also request independent investigations into instances of war crimes. These investigations should be transparent and perpetrators held to account, irrespective of their affiliation.

We must not stand by while innocent lives are lost. The common goal of peace is only achievable if we join together to demand end of conflicts and the implementation of protection for those most at risk. Our families, friends, and fellow citizens in Lebanon plead for your support. I urge you to take this step towards peace and sign this petition.
