The current global situation has seen an increase in the number of displaced individuals seeking refuge and a better life. In light of the recent immigration schemes implemented for Ukrainian nationals, we urge the UK government to consider similar provisions for Palestinians.

The proposed schemes include:

1. Palestine Family Scheme - This would allow settled UK residents to sponsor their Palestinian family members, providing them with a safe haven amidst ongoing conflict.

2. Homes for Palestinians - Under this scheme, UK families could sponsor a Palestinian household for 6 months, offering immediate relief from precarious living conditions.

3. Faster Asylum/HP Process - Speeding up these processes would greatly benefit current Palestinians seeking asylum in the UK by reducing wait times and uncertainty.

According to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency), there are over 5 million registered Palestinian refugees worldwide who could potentially benefit from such initiatives (source: UNRWA).

We believe that implementing these schemes will not only provide much-needed support to vulnerable individuals but also enrich our society with cultural diversity and resilience born out of adversity.
