As students from the same academic year in Sheffield, UK, we have shared experiences and challenges. We believe that all of us should graduate together after completing the academic segment of our course. This is not just a personal sentiment but a call for fairness and unity among us as students.

Currently, apprenticeship graduation ceremonies are fragmented and do not reflect the collective effort we have put into our studies. It's disheartening to see some of us move forward while others are left behind due to administrative or other non-academic reasons.

According to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), in 2018/19, 76% of students graduated on time in Sheffield. This means that almost a quarter of us may not experience the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes with graduating alongside our peers. 

We propose a change in policy where all students who complete their academic requirements graduate together, regardless of any non-academic factors. Let's celebrate our achievements as one unified group rather than divided entities.
