I am a parent of two children attending separate schools in Deptford, NJ. Like many families in our community, dropping and picking up my kids from school each day proved a logistical challenge. The cost of school bussing, which should be a right, not a privilege, adds a significant financial burden to many families like mine.

The school bus fee creates unnecessary financial strain on families already struggling with other costs. We believe Deptford can continue this standard by ensuring free school bussing for all students.

Numerous studies show that regular and punctual school attendance is crucial to academic success, and reliable transportation is a significant factor in maintaining that attendance. Offering free bussing will not only alleviate financial stress for families but will also contribute to higher attendance rates, translating to better educational outcomes for our children.
