I'm a resident living near East Croydon station (CR0 1LD), and I am personally affected by the lack of fiber broadband in our area. This issue impacts not only residents like me but also the many businesses situated on George Street. The demand for high-speed internet has been escalating with our increasing reliance on digital technology. Yet, many of us are still hampered by obsolete infrastructures and poor connectivity. According to Ofcom, around 155,000 premises, or 0.6% of homes and businesses, could only access broadband slower than 10 Mbits/sec in 2020, dampening not only the quality of life but also potential business opportunities. I believe everyone should have the right to access fiber broadband as a means to work, learn, communicate, and be entertained, especially in such a vibrant economic area like East Croydon.

It's high time we push for the implementation of fiber broadband in George Street, Croydon. Let us make our demand for faster, reliable internet heard. Please sign this petition.
