With an estimated population of over 50,000 residents, the responsibility is on us to ensure the safety of our fellow inhabitants. Unfortunately, ducks, unable to fathom the hazards of traffic, often become road casualties. While we don't have exact figures of duck fatalities in Port Charlotte, national statistics reveal that millions of birds are killed annually due to traffic.
