I am a passionate animal lover, and the loud fireworks displays at Colchester Rugby Club have become a source of distress for both animals and many people. For animals with sensitive hearing this is significantly amplified, resulting in severe distress and fear.

Additionally, we must consider the human population who suffer due to this noise. Children, the elderly, and individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can be exceptionally vulnerable to the loud booms and bangs created by these fireworks.

As an alternative, drone light displays or silent fireworks can provide an equally exciting spectacle without the negative implications of noise. This is not a demand to stop celebrations, but rather a request to switch to a more inclusive, non-disruptive, and considerate way of celebrating. Please, stand by me and the countless other animals and people potentially suffering in silence.
