My dream of being a self-sustaining entrepreneur with a thriving liquor business in the lovely city of Ankeny has become overshadowed with anxiety about the future. The policy of unrestricted granting of liquor licenses seems short-sighted, and instead of promoting success, sets businesses up for failure.

It's time to review and revise this policy. We need to implement strict regulations concerning the distance between businesses while issuing liquor licenses in Ankeny—in line with many other cities across the US that has stringent proximity laws. This will not only help to maintain diversity in business but also ensure a balanced commercial environment in our beloved city.
