I am a survivor. As a child, I experienced firsthand the horrors of falling prey to pedophiles. This is not just my story but the story of countless children around the world who are subjected to such heinous acts every day.

According to statistics from Darkness to Light, approximately one in ten children will be sexually abused before they turn 18. This means millions of our children are at risk and many will carry these scars into adulthood, just like me.

The current legal consequences for pedophiles do not reflect the severity and lifelong impact of their actions on victims' lives. We need stricter laws that act as a deterrent against such crimes.

We propose that convicted pedophiles should face capital punishment - the death penalty. It is time we send a strong message that society has zero tolerance towards those who harm our most vulnerable citizens - our children.

This change won't erase my past or heal my wounds overnight, but it can prevent future generations from enduring what I had to go through. Let's protect our children and ensure justice is served adequately.
